Pinellas Park Man Embarked On Burglary Spree, Stealing 100K: Police
Ismar Becirovic, 38 was arrested at his Pinellas Park home for taking part in a crime spree that began in late April, said detectives.
PINELLAS PARK, FL — Pinellas Park police detectives have arrested a man accused of taking part in more than 37 commercial burglaries throughout Pinellas County during which more than $100,000 was stolen.
Ismar Becirovic, 38, was arrested at his Pinellas Park home for taking part in a crime spree that began in late April, said a Pinellas Park police report.
Detectives said Becirovic targeted commercial businesses that specialized in HVAC installations and repairs. Detectives said he broke fences to access the businesses and vehicles and would force his way into locked vehicles by cutting off locks or breaking windows.

In addition to burglarizing businesses, detectives said he stole Freon, copper, tubing and an assortment of other HVAC supplies and equipment.
Largo police, Clearwater police, St. Petersburg police and the Pinellas County sheriff linked similar crimes in their areas to Becirovic.

He's been charged with eight counts of burglary, two counts of possession of burglary tools and one count of criminal mischief.
