Meet Sampson (#285685). This 18-month-old pit bull mix tips the scales at 68 pounds. He appears to be housetrained, and he knows a lot of commands like sit, stay, be quiet and come. He has been very good around children and other dogs. While these are great feats, you should see him play ball! Give that dog a contract.
This May, you can pick up Sampson – or any of the other pets up for adoption at – for a $25 adoption fee. And, remember, every single one of the pets offered for adoption at Animal Services are spayed or neutered and have all of their required shots. And, this week, we are bursting at the seams with many adorable and adoptable pets to choose from!
Remember the heat.
While it’s not yet summer, temperatures are starting to rise out there. It’s critical to remember that you should never leave your pet in an enclosed vehicle for any length of time. Temperatures inside a closed vehicle can easily reach 150 degrees in the sun – a life-threatening situation for your pet. Either visit places where you can bring your pet with you or leave your four-legged friend home in the air conditioning or a shady, comfortable spot with plenty of water.
