Sandbars Emerge on St. Pete Beach After Debby
Certain areas of St. Pete Beach have "rivers" of water flowing in the middle of the beach.

When Tropical Storm Debby hit, she took some parts of beach with her when she left.
Beach erosion has caused an emergence of sandbars in areas of St. Pete Beach,according to an article from Bay News 9.
When the tide comes in, these eroded areas fill up with water and become "rivers" dividing the beaches when the tide goes back out.

When the tide is at it's lowest, some people have been propping up umbrellas on the sandbar and playing with kids in the shallow water around it.
While some people are enjoying it, the city is still pushing to have beaches renourished with sand to be back to their normal state as soon as possible.
