Valentine's on the Sand

Here's your friendly Patch reminder that Valentine's Day is coming up and you better remember to treat your sweetheart. If you completely spaced out on the holiday, here are some ideas to get you going before Valentine's comes up and you don't have any idea what to do.

Find a beach restaurant: This one may be a little harder to do now. Normally, reservations can book up months ahead time. If you're feeling lucky and have some time, you can run through our directory and try calling the restaurants to see if they have an opening.

Book a dinner cruise: It might not be as hard as finding a restaurant, but it'll be a little more expensive. The dinner cruises that leave from the Pasadena area are extremely nice and will make for a wonderfully romantic night.

Rent a couple of bikes: While not traditionally romantic, the beach has lots of great places to rent bikes that you can take around Gulf Boulevard. The bike ride will give you and your sweetheart plenty of time to relax and chat!

Walking down the beach: This is the tried and true last resort. Our beaches are beautiful and a walk down the sand can make for a wonderful and memorable day. For optimum romance, make sure to check them out at sunset.

Burn your ex at Postcard Inn: If all else fails or recently and regrettably single, has you covered. They're having a burn your ex night where you can bring photos of your ex and throw them in the fire. The bonus is that anyone who does so, gets a free signature shot!
