1 Dead, 1 Injured In 3-Vehicle Crash In Hillsborough County: FL Troopers

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, FL — One person was killed and another injured in a Friday night crash on State Road 39 in Hillsborough County, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

A Chevy Silverado, driven by a 77-year-old Plant City woman, was heading north on highway just after 9 p.m.

As she turned left into the driveway of a home south of Moriczville Lane, she drove into the path of a Nissan Versa driven by a 19-year-old Plant City man heading south on the road, and was hit by the car, FHP said.

After the crash, the truck rotated into the west shoulder while the car rotated into the path of a Ford F350 that was heading north on State Road 39 and was hit by the second truck.

The car’s driver died at the scene, FHP said.

The woman suffered minor injuries and was brought to an area hospital, while the F350’s driver was uninjured in the crash.
