Most affected roles are forklift operators, though the company says workers can apply for jobs with the client taking over operations. Local families tied to warehouse work could feel a significant impact. 
• Traffic Stop Leads To Major Drug, Weapons Cache And Arrest In Plant City (tampafp.com) — Hillsborough County deputies say a routine traffic stop in Plant City uncovered cocaine in a vehicle and led to a search of a local home, where they seized more drugs, cash, and several firearms. A 33-year-old man now faces serious trafficking and weapons charges, and investigators removed illegal automatic conversion devices from circulation in the community.
• Obituaries 08.27.26 (plantcityobserver.com) — Several local families are mourning loved ones with deep ties to Plant City, including residents Daniel Charles Fitzpatrick and Janet Marie Calvello, and Lakeland native Barbara Jean Hinson Wynn, who was born in Plant City.
