• Plant City Motorcyclist Dies Following Multi-Vehicle Crash On SR-39 In Hillsborough County (tampafp.com) — A 53-year-old Plant City man died Wednesday night after his motorcycle was rear-ended on State Road 39 and he was struck by oncoming traffic, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. The multi-vehicle crash happened just south of Varn Road, involved drivers from Wesley Chapel and Texas, and remains under investigation, with no other injuries reported.

• St. Johns clock shop owner, 73, accused of pointing gun at two 20-year-olds during confrontation (sjcitizen.com) — A 73-year-old Plant City resident who owns a St. Johns County clock shop was arrested after police say he tailgated two 20-year-olds while waving a gun, then pointed it at their driver during an argument. Officers later recovered two firearms and booked him on aggravated assault and improper exhibition charges, based on statements from the young adults and an independent witness.

• Tampa students walk, bike to school as safety takes center stage at campus without buses (fox13news.com) — Students across Hillsborough County, including several in Plant City, are joining National Walk & Bike to School Day with a strong focus on safer routes for kids who don't ride buses. A new partnership at Tampa's Sulphur Springs K‑8 aims to improve sidewalks, crossings, and daily walking and biking safety, and organizers say lessons learned could influence safer school commutes in communities like Plant City.
