Man accused of stealing BMW, crashing into FHP cruiser arrested in Plantation, cops say (nbcmiami.com) — Plantation residents may notice increased police activity after officers arrested a man accused of driving a stolen BMW that crashed into a parked Florida Highway Patrol cruiser near North State Road 7. Plantation Police, with help from the Broward Sheriff’s aviation unit, chased the suspect on foot before he surrendered and now faces multiple charges.
   

4. Mater Lakes Academy Sweeps District 11-2A Swimming & Diving Championship Titles; SoFlo's Didia Miccolis Triple Winner (wordpress.com) — Plantation swimmers made their mark at the District 11-2A championships, with Benjamin Cupid winning the 200 freestyle and both Plantation boys and girls teams scoring in the standings. Local athletes now advance toward the Region 4-2A meet at Doral Aquatic Center on November 4 and 6, giving Plantation families more chances to cheer them on.
