The county is gathering nonperishable food, water, disaster gear, personal-care items, and pet supplies at multiple parks and libraries, including Tradewinds Park and branches in Miramar, Coral Springs, and Pembroke Pines.

• Dash camera video captures PIT maneuver during pursuit on Turnpike that ended in crash, death of innocent driver (wsvn.com) — A deadly Florida Turnpike pursuit that ended near the Sunrise Boulevard exit is drawing attention in Plantation after new dashcam video showed troopers using a PIT maneuver on an allegedly stolen truck. The maneuver and ensuing chaos led to a 70-year-old uninvolved driver’s death, while the suspect was taken into custody and hospitalized. Authorities continue reviewing the circumstances of the chase and crash.

• E-Bike Rider Seriously Injured After Colliding With SUV at North Palm Beach Intersection (bocaratontribune.com) — A 30-year-old man from Plantation suffered serious head injuries after riding his e-bike off a sidewalk and into the side of an SUV at a North Palm Beach intersection. Investigators say he was not wearing a helmet when he struck the driver’s door and was thrown onto the road. Both he and the SUV driver were hospitalized as deputies continue the investigation.
