American Heritage Schools (AHS) Broward Campus Fine Arts Department invites the community to experience the extraordinary talents of its Performing Arts students live on stage.
American Heritage School’s Broward Campus upper school students will perform “Xanadu JR.” at the Main Stage Theater on Thursday, Nov. 5, at 7 p.m. and Friday, Nov. 6, at 7 p.m.

“Xanadu JR.” is inspired by the Tony Award-nominated Broadway musical and the Universal Pictures' cult classic movie that starred Olivia Newton-John and Gene Kelly. “Xanadu JR.” is a moving, electrifying tale of endless fun that will keep audiences in stitches while the original, legendary chart-topping tunes lift them out of their seats.

“Xanadu JR.” follows the journey of a magical and beautiful Greek muse, Kira, who descends from the heavens of Mt. Olympus to Venice Beach, California, on a quest to inspire a struggling artist, Sonny, to achieve the greatest artistic creation of all time – the first Roller Disco. (Hey, it's 1980!) But when Kira falls into forbidden love with the mortal Sonny, her jealous sisters take advantage of the situation, and chaos abounds.

“Xanadu JR.” is presented through a special arrangement with Music Theatre International (MTI).

American Heritage Schools’ Performing Arts program offers a transformative experience, fostering confidence, creativity, self-expression, and collaborative skills through diverse disciplines performed live. Performing Arts students have excelled on regional, state, and national stages, earning premier awards and rare honors that showcase their exceptional talent and commitment.

American Heritage Schools' Broward Campus Performing Arts department offers robust course offerings, featuring multiple levels from beginner to advanced in band, choir, dance, guitar, orchestra, piano, and theatre. The department boasts expert faculty who collaborate with professional artists to provide high-quality instruction and mentorship, resulting in top-rated talent that has earned superior ratings and distinctions at the local, state, and national levels. Students also benefit from unique performance opportunities, including ensembles featured at renowned venues, state festivals, and national competitions.
