• Polk County Sheriff's Office checks 38 stores for compliance with sales to minors laws (polktimes.com) — Deputies recently checked dozens of Polk County stores for illegal alcohol, tobacco, and kratom sales, including a 7-Eleven on Marigold Avenue in Poinciana. Two clerks, one from that Poinciana store, were charged after allegedly selling alcohol to underage cadets, while all tobacco and smoke shops refused sales.
