Working within seconds as the vehicle sank, they broke a window, freed her from her seatbelt, and swam her safely to shore, with authorities confirming she was the only person inside. 
• Broward woman accused of slapping baby across face (local10.com) — Pompano Beach–based Broward Sheriff’s Office deputies recently arrested a Fort Lauderdale woman after an April 14 incident in which a baby was allegedly slapped, leading to child abuse and battery charges. Court records show she received a $5,500 bond and is no longer listed in Broward jail records as of Friday.
