The downpour, described by longtime locals as some of the worst in decades countywide, has spotlighted how quickly neighborhoods like Riviera Beach can be disrupted when tropical-style rains arrive all at once.
   

• Heavy rains flood Habitat for Humanity ReStore in Riviera Beach (wpbf.com) — Heavy rains have badly flooded the Habitat for Humanity ReStore on Dyer Boulevard in Riviera Beach, ruining much of its inventory and forcing a temporary closure. Because sales there help fund local affordable housing construction, the nonprofit is urgently asking Riviera Beach-area residents to donate gently used furniture, clothing, and household items so the store can reopen and continue supporting homebuilding programs.
