The women, riding in a Chrysler Pacifica, were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries as state troopers continue investigating and seeking additional witnesses.

Publix supermarkets in Florida make controversial decision on guns (nypost.com) — A new Publix policy asking shoppers not to openly carry guns in its Florida stores comes after several shootings, including a 2021 triple murder‑suicide at a Royal Palm Beach supermarket. The company now posts signs requesting only law enforcement openly carry firearms, highlighting the tension between gun rights, private property rules, and shopper safety concerns statewide.
