2 FL Restaurants Make Elite List Of America’s Best By New York Times

The New York Times included two FL restaurants on The Restaurants List 2026, the best 50 restaurants in the U.S.

Two Florida restaurants are included in The Restaurant List 2026, an elite compilation of the 50 best restaurants in America by The New York Times.

A 16-person scouting team traveled across the country for the list, eating everywhere from small-town Wisconsin to downtown Manhattan. The critics made reservations, waited in lines and arrived unannounced, paying for their meals and accepting no freebies.

Included from Florida are Tin Tin in Miami and the Tides Market in Safety Harbor.

Tin Tin, located at 2555 SW 8th Street, Suite 101, is known for Cuban French cuisine

The Times singled out its "eye-catching food" and colorful dishes such as "the snapper fillet, enveloped by a cloud of aerated potato purée" and "the yellowtail crudo resting in a pool of coconut leche de tigre that looks like stained glass."

The list also highlighted the Tides Market, located at 305 Main Street, lauding the eatery for becoming "a local hit by using sound execution to transform exceptionally fresh ingredients into food you know you want."

The Times continued, "That includes iced seafood platters, fried fish sandwiches, seared tuna niçoise salad and blackened yellowtail snapper, all good enough to summon pleasant reminders of why such dishes became part of so many restaurants' offerings."

The restaurants aren't ranked, and none appeared on a previous edition of the annual list. The selections include places that opened only weeks ago as well as restaurants that have been serving customers for decades.
