Combine music that feeds the soul with incredible food that feeds the body, and you have a magical night at Fleur de Lis. Right in the heart of Safety Harbor, Fleur de Lis is located behind Tapping the Vine across from City Hall.

Regina AaMacha, owner and accomplished musician, utilizes Fleur de Lis to showcase some of the finest musical talent and some the finest artisan, gourmet foods. The evening of Friday, February 22 was no exception, when for the modest price of $25, guests were offered gourmet appetizers, entree and desserts and a private concert with Shaun Hopper.

Following dinner on the outdoor patio with an almost full moon in the night sky, Regina invited guests to be seated in the intimate living room setting where Hopper, who is an award winning acoustic "fingerstyle" guitarist, played for a group of about 20 guests. Hopper says, "I love the energy of playing for a packed house like at Capitol Theater, but a small intimate setting allows me to connect and interact with my audience in a unique way that I enjoy."

Hopper, once congratulated on his talent by Stevie Wonder after playing tribute music to Wonder at a concert in Anaheim, CA, plays the guitar in a fingerstyle and percussion method as to sound like multiple musicians are playing. In fact, that was exactly what Wonder expected when he went to congratulate the band, which he learned was Hopper alone.

If you have the opportunity to visit Fleur de Lis or hear Shaun Hopper, consider yourself lucky. You never know what waits for you right in your own back yard!
