Doggie Date Night with Jumpin' Jack!

Thank you to Safety Harbor for hosting Doggie Date night tonight, and to Jeff "Mr. Patch" for letting us know about it.

We adopted Jack from the Humane Society of Pinellas on 590 a year ago.  He was Carl then, but for lots of different reasons we renamed him Jack.

We are sure we made the right move when tonight Mr. Patch nicknamed him "Jumpin' Jack". Our one year old pup was so excited to make new friends, he was jumping around each time he approached a new pup. Sorry if he surprised anyone!

It was great to see so many friendly and responsible pets and owners visiting each other and so many different breeds represented. The temperature was warm, the sky clear. There were vendors, Veterinarians, artists, hot dogs - even the ice cream truck came by. 

We are hoping this annual event will happen much more often. We often bring Jack to Third Friday, but maybe we could make one of the other "Fridays" Doggie Date night at the park, followed by an "after party" at one of Safety Harbor's pet friendly restaurants? 

I asked Jack, and he's in!!!
