How Not to Lose Your Safety Harbor Dream Home in One Weekend

Shopping for a new home? Don't miss out on your dream home by being unprepared! Home prices are slowly creeping up, and sellers know it!

It’s the last day of the month, Friday is here, and it’s time to go house hunting this weekend! Luckily for you, Patch.com has you covered when you’re headed out the door tomorrow morning in search of the perfect Safety Harbor home for your family!  I’ve included a list of the newest 12 homes (for sale) to hit the market in Safety Harbor this week in the attached report, so be sure to print it out and take it with you this weekend.  There are currently over 90 properties for sale in Safety Harbor right now, many of them have been on the market for quite some time already, but if you’re not familiar with them, you can check them out here: Safety Harbor properties for sale.

Did you know that the average price of single family homes that sold in Safety Harbor during the month of May was $125/sq.ft.?  There were nearly 20 properties that sold this month ranging from $840,000 to $80,000 with the average sales price in Safety Harbor being $315,000 in May of 2013.

In our post earlier this month, we talked about Safety Harbor median home values being on the rise and what to expect for prices this summer.

Prices are slowly rising again and after nearly 7 years of being a buyer’s market, the tides have turned and the sellers now have the upper hand, with inventory at an all-time low.  So if you fall in love with a home this weekend, you may want to reconsider “sleeping on it” and make that offer sooner than later.  Remember to ask yourself…”what will I know tomorrow, that I don’t already know now?”…asking that question might help get you off the fence of waiting any longer and missing an opportunity for your Safety Harbor dream home!

Be prepared to make an offer ahead of time.  If your realtor has not already provided you with a blank purchase contract to review, ask them for one.  Read through it and have your questions and concerns addressed well before you find the home you love so that you’re confident when purchasing your Safety Harbor dream home!  Have a great weekend!
