Being a runner, I was super excited when I found out about a running store that was to open in the village. First, I love supporting local business, as well as, my fellow villagers. But, I was so happy to hear about the concept and the story of how this establishment came to fruition.
Anita Martin has lived her whole life...actively. She was an athlete in high school and went on to play Field Hockey and Tennis in college. After that, she spent fifteen years working in a women's athletic store and gaining expertise on how to make it successful. Putting her plan into action, she formed her dream and opened Lola's Laces.

The story goes like this...Anita and her husband, Randy, spent three winters in this area before deciding to move here. They had so much fun during their visits, and they saw the friendliness and kindness of the peeps that live here. They're also dog lovers and wanted to live in a place where--as I like to say--dogs rule. So they packed things...scooped up the dogs...waved goodbye to Pennsylvania...AND...now they're here ready to fit you with the right shoes and the right gear.
Anita's focus is providing technical clothing for women...whatever size...whatever activity level. Asics, Brooks and Saucony are the brands in footwear, while Moving Comfort, Life is Good and Shock Absorber are the brands of clothing that she features. One on one service is always a great treat these days...AND...that kids, makes for a pleasant shopping experience.
