I wonder as I wander out under the sky

Patch  invited folks to comment on the court decision on the Defense of Marriage Act, I see it as an interference with the reserved powers of the state as protected by the 10th Amendment. But then I'm not a lawyer. I do believe in  equal rights for domestic partnerships. We have to recognize society changes, preserving on the one hand the sanctity of marriage, a God given gift and the rights of others to choose their own life style and path to happiness.

The Boy Scouts have a new problem as churches are revoking their contracts with the scouts to use church facilities for meetings because of the BSA ruling on gays. This is further compounded by one instance of a Kiwanis club being refused to use a church's facility because it has a compact with the local scouts.

What is missing in all the above is that Jesus said, "Feed my lambs." He did not say, "feed this one but not that one." He said, "Come to me, all of you..." It is not for any one of us to judge, but protect well meaning people. Governments and these churches are missing a wonderful opportunity to proclaim the message of peace, love and understanding as well as our individual right to make our own personal decisions.
