Police Officer Mike Quill

Officer Mike Quill works for the Tampa Police Department. He has many tools for doing his job.  He has a Taser, which has two metal hooks and delivers 50,000 volts. He also has a night stick, which he uses to hit a nerve to take someone down. Another tool that he uses is pepper spray, to spray people to make them stop fighting. He also has a gun.

Some other help are dogs, undercover police, investigators, and they even have a tank. "It’s a big team," Officer Quill said. The dogs they use are Basset Hounds and German Shepherds. Basset Hounds are very good at tracking scents. If you saw an undercover police officer, you wouldn’t be able to tell him apart from anyone else. They drive normal cars, and don’t wear uniforms.

Some funny experiences Officer Quill has had are featured below.

Once, a thief waited to sneak out of a store by waiting in the ceiling until the store closed.  While up there, he fell asleep and fell through the ceiling, knocking himself out until the police came.  Another time, a woman was leaving a beach in her car.  She thought she was going home, but really her car was stuck on a low wall, and she was going nowhere. Officer Quill sure has had some strange experiences!
