Almost lost amid all the hubub of Tropical Storm Isaac, Republican National Convention cancellations, businesses experiencing and busts from the RNC and Clint Eastwood talking to a chair was the fact the Mitt Romney accepted the Republican party's nomination on Thursday night.

What seemed like a foregone conclusion for quite a while is now official, so what does it mean for our country, our state and the citizens of Safety Harbor?

Does Romney have a chance to knock President Obama out of the Oval Office, or will the president survive the challenge in what is sure to be a tight election in November?
