Seminole County gas station stops Bitcoin ATM scams (wesh.com) — A Mobil gas station on Sanford Avenue near Orlando Sanford Airport has stopped more than $100,000 in suspected Bitcoin ATM scams by stepping in when customers look distressed or are on the phone while depositing cash. Owner Haroon Anwar and his staff routinely call police, warn victims, and remind residents that real agencies will never demand Bitcoin payments, urging anyone unsure to pause and seek help.
   

4. Apopka Cruises Past Horizon for Its Second Straight Win (theapopkachief.com) — Apopka’s football team just notched its second straight win and now turns its attention to a Sept. 25 road game in Sanford against the Seminole Seminoles, a matchup many local fans will circle. Strong defense and efficient offense powered Apopka’s 28-7 victory over Horizon, setting up an intriguing test for Seminole High on its home field.
