Sarasota County Man Claims $1M Prize Playing FL Lottery Scratch-Off Game
A North Port man won a $1 million top prize playing the Monopoly Bonus Spectacular scratch-off game, Florida Lottery said.
NORTH PORT, FL — A Sarasota County man claimed a $1 million top prize playing the $5 Monopoly Bonus Spectacular scratch-off game, Florida Lottery said in a news release.
David Reichel, 62, of North Port chose to receive his winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $815,000 from Florida Lottery’s Fort Myers office.
He purchased his winning ticket from Circle K at 6220 Marlympia Way in Punta Gorda. The retailer will receive a $2,000 bonus commission for selling the winning ticket.

The $5 Monopoly Bonus Spectacular game launched in July 2020 and features more than $131 million in cash prizes, including eight top prizes of $1 million. The games overall odds of winning are 1-in-3.96.
