2 Seriously Injured When Van Towing Trailer Overturns On FL Highway

A man and a woman from Bradenton were seriously injured when their van overturned on I-75 in the Sarasota area, FL Highway Patrol said.

SARASOTA, FL — Two people were seriously injured when their van, which was towing a trailer, overturned Monday afternoon on Interstate 75 in the Sarasota area, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

The single-vehicle crash happened just before 3 p.m. near mile marker 207.

When the van swerved in the highway’s right lane, it caused the trailer to sway. As the driver, a 48-year-old Bradenton man, tried to regain control, the van went off the road to the right, FHP said.
