3 School Children Injured In Bus Crash In Sarasota
Three school children were taken to Sarasota Memorial Hospital after their school bus was involved in a crash with three cars.
SARASOTA, FL -- Three school children were taken to Sarasota Memorial Hospital Friday, March 8, after their school bus was involved in a crash with three cars at 17th Street North and U.S. 301 in Sarasota.
Sarasota Police Chief Bernadette DiPino said the accident occurred around 8 a.m. and was caused by the driver of one of the cars. She said that driver is under investigation for driving under the influence.
The three children, ages 9 and 10, taken to the hospital sustained minor injuries. The other 36 children on the bus were transferred to another bus and taken to Brentwood Elementary School.
