30-Year-Old Venice Man Killed In Single-Vehicle Crash

SARASOTA, FL -- A 30-year-old Venice man has died following an accident on Venice East Boulevard near Woodrose Way.

At 3:16 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 30, Kevin Robert Seeland was driving a GMC C1500 north on Venice East Boulevard when he left the road, ran up on the grassy median and collided with two wooden posts. The GMC continued to travel up the median and collided with a small oak and palm tree. The vehicle began rotating across the northbound lanes of Venice East Boulevard and onto the east shoulder where it collided with a large oak tree. After hitting the oak tree, the vehicle rolled onto its left side, partially ejecting the driver.

Seeland died at the scene.
