47-Year-Old Woman Killed While Crossing Stickney Point Road
A 47-year-old woman was killed after being struck by a car Saturday night, Sept. 29 on Stickney Point Road and Beechwood Avenue.

SARASOTA, FL -- A 47-year-old woman was killed after being struck by a car Saturday night, Sept. 29 on Stickney Point Road and Beechwood Avenue.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Roy Edwin Kopischke, 71, of Sarasota was driving his Mustang east on Stickney Point Road at 8:38 p.m. when Patricia Meives of Winnebago, Illinois, stepped into the path of the car.
Troopers say the front end of the Mustang struck Meives and she died at the scene.
