60-Year-Old Sarasota Man Arrested For Downloading Child Porn

SARASOTA, FL -- The Sarasota County Sheriff's Office has arrested a 60-year-old man for possession of child pornography.

Detectives received information that Edward Peteja was possibly downloading child pornography on his computer at his home at 3122 Bernadette Lane, Sarasota, where he lives alone.

Detectives executed a search warrant on his home and seized CDs and DVDs containing images of child pornography.

Peteja was arrested and taken to the Sarasota County Jail. He is charged with 10 felony counts of possession of child pornography and is being held without bond. The investigation is ongoing and additional charges are pending.

Peteja was also arrested in 2005 for use of a child in sexual performance and in 1997 for prostitution.
