Amazing Love Healing Ministry founder to lead day of respite, contemplation at Redeemer
The Rev. Dr. Sharon Lewis, founder of Osprey's Amazing Love Healing Ministries, will bring her healing perspective to Church of the Redeemer
The Rev. Dr. Sharon Lewis, founder of Amazing Love Healing Ministries in Osprey, Florida, will bring her healing perspective to the Church of the Redeemer, 222 S. Palm Ave., Sarasota, during the parish’s Lenten Quiet Day, on Sat., March 28. The Rev. Dr. Lewis will lead two morning sessions on the topic “Becoming Like Him,” beginning with registration and opening remarks at 8:30 a.m. in Gillespie Hall; Morning Prayer will follow, with Mass offered at 10 a.m. Lenten Quiet Day is offered as a time of quiet respite and contemplation in preparation for Holy Week. Participants are encouraged to bring a brown bag lunch and remain in Gillespie Hall to dine together after the sessions conclude. After lunch, attendees are welcome to explore the parish campus, following paths and sidewalks through the grounds to view the 65-foot bell tower and two-story outdoor murals; as well as to sit in contemplation and prayer in the Rose and St. Francis gardens.
The Rev. Dr. Lewis is an ordained priest in the Episcopal Church who received her Doctor of Ministry from Pennsylvania’s Trinity School for Ministry and a Master of Divinity from the University of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee. For 15 years, she served as rector of Osprey’s Church of the Holy Spirit, where Amazing Love Healing Ministry was born. Today, she leads healing conferences around the globe, traveling to countries like Rwanda, Uganda, Bolivia, Peru and the Dominican Republic to help believers renew their lives and heal psychic wounds.

The visit by the Rev. Dr. Lewis is sponsored by the Redeemer chapter of Daughters of the King, a women’s group which is dedicated to outreach through prayer, service and evangelism.
