Running through May 9, the long-running exhibit highlights young talent, awards over $20,000 in scholarships and prizes, and celebrates the Art Center’s 100 years of service to the community.

Tied closely to Sarasota’s circus history, the park doubles as both a daily play spot and a community gathering place, with walking paths, sports courts, and year-round events that keep locals coming back.    

• Community Robotic Surgery Event (srqmagazine.com) — Sarasota-area residents, including Venice High School students, recently got hands-on time with the same robotic surgery system used at HCA Florida Sarasota Doctors Hospital. At a Hotel Venezia event, surgeon Wesley Hendricks and operating room nurses explained how the technology treats hernias and other conditions while highlighting local medical career paths.
