The sentence for the former Sarasota Little League treasurer who stole $200K from the organization includes jail time, reports said.

SARASOTA, FL — A former Sarasota Little League treasurer who stole $200,000 from the organization was sentenced on Monday to time behind bars, multiple reports said.

Ahnaysa Turner, who pleaded no contest on May 27, will spend 11 months and 29 days in the Sarasota County Jail, ABC 7 said.

She also received 26 years of probation and must pay $176,000 in restitution, the Observer reported.

“It took over about three years to commit the crime. We thought that 12 months may have been a little light, but if he thought that was fair, we’ll agree with what he thought,” Alexis Meininghaus, President of the Sarasota Little League, told WFLA.

She spent at least $10,000 on vacations and $14,000 on Amazon purchases, reports said.

The stolen money was earmarked for field maintenance and scholarships for players who couldn’t afford league costs.

Turner was tearful when she took the stand during Monday’s sentencing, reports said.

“The choices that brought me here today don’t define me as a person,” she said.
