AR-15 Found At Home Of Teen Accused Of Threatening Students

North Port Police arrested a 19-year-old teen after he reportedly threatened to shoot everyone at the North Port High homecoming dance.

NORTH PORT, FL -- North Port Police arrested a 19-year-old teen after he reportedly threatened to shoot everyone at the North Port High School homecoming dance Saturday, Sept. 22.

Anthony Grimaldi of Punta Gorda was arrested after police said he made threats to his girlfriend, telling her that he would go to the dance and "shoot everyone" if she danced with other boys.

Police said Grimaldi also sent a threatening message to a teenage boy, saying, "I'm coming for your head," He included a photo of himself holding an AR-16 semi-automatic rifle.

During a search of Grimaldi's home, police found the AR-15 and a 9 mm handgun.

He's been charged with sending a threat to kill or injure and making a false report threatening to use a weapon of mass destruction.

Bond was set at $35,000 and Grimaldi is scheduled to be arraigned on the charged on Sept. 26.
