Body Of Woman Found In Water At 10th Street Boat Ramp

SARASOTA, FL -- Sarasota Police are investigating the death of a woman found near the 10th Street Boat Ramp in Centennial Park, 1059 N. Tamiami Trail, Friday, Aug. 10.

Police responded to a call at about 2:15 p.m. about a person in the water. When they arrived, they found a woman dead of an apparent drowning although the Medical Examiner's Office will rule on the exact cause of death following an autopsy.

The identity of the woman is not being released until the next of kin is notified. Sarasota Police are continuing their investigation into the death.
