Art Venti, whose works are on exhibit in the Arts Advocates Gallery through May, is a NY born artist celebrated for his unusually imaginative large scale color pencil work on archival paper. The compositions often appear as alternative reality landscapes with environmental or political themes. Venti will answer your questions about his incredibly meticulous and wonderful technique of applying layers of color to the fascinating surreal landscapes he has "imagined" and brought to life. During the talk, you'll be to invited to view the many works on the walls up close. He will demonstrate the techniques that he has developed to achieve the wondrous effects in his work.

Eddie has been singing and playing piano since he was eight years old. Attending the University of Miami, Eddie was in the Studio Music and Jazz Piano program. He entertained around the country and on cruise ships. Spending 15 great years in Nashville accompanying the Forester Sisters, who opened for Kenny Rogers, and traveling with Brenda Lee. For seven and a half years, Eddie was music director, pianist, conductor, and arranger for Engelbert Humperdinck. You’ll hear some jazz, blues, standards, ragtime, classical, pop, calypso, and country music. People will enjoy his renditions of songs by Jimmy Buffett, Leon Russell, Ray Charles, and Johnny Cash.

Did you know that TREE Foundation has created an international footprint for saving critical global forests that are integral to our children and grandchildren's future? TREE Foundation was started to raise funds for the Myakka State Park canopy walkway, the first one in North America. This walkway brings in an estimated revenue of $30 million per year in the regional economy and hosts a half-million visitors. TREE Foundation leadership used this amazing model of economic and ecological success to share it in other places. Mission Green is a program aimed at building 10 canopy walkways that will employ 100 indigenous women and families and host 1,000 students for exploration of the treetops. This talk will travel around the globe to see the results of Mission Green and why forest conservation is critical for human health.
