Cocoanut Avenue Shooting Suspect Sought: Police

SARASOTA, FL — Detectives are searching for the suspect in a shooting that took place in the 2200 block of Cocoanut Avenue on Saturday afternoon, the Sarasota Police Department said in a news release.

The suspect, Detravion Graham, 24, is wanted for aggravated battery with a firearm, police said. He is “armed and dangerous,” according to the news release.

Graham is accused of shooting a woman around 3:45 p.m. Saturday. Police said he knew the victim prior to the shooting, but authorities did not provide any other details about their relationship.

The woman was brought to Sarasota Memorial Hospital on Saturday. She is currently in stable condition.
