Community Celebrates National Girl Scout Cookie Weekend
Culver's to host free event with Girl Scouts of Gulfcoast Florida

Sarasota/Bradenton, FL – Girl Scouts of Gulfcoast Florida will join other Girl Scout councils across the United States February 23–25 to participate in National Girl Scout Cookie Weekend 2018. This celebration rings in a new century of fun, learning, and excitement that selling cookies has powered for girls over the past 101 years.
Girl Scout members, staff, and volunteers are teaming up with Culver’s on University Parkway to host a free celebration on Saturday, February 24 from noon to 5:00 p.m. The event will feature games, crafts, prizes, and activity stations, plus free samples of Bonfire S’mores custard. Culver’s is offering $.99 kid’s meals with the purchase of a value meal, and anyone who registers to become a Girl Scout during the event will receive a free kid’s meal voucher for use at a later date. Culver’s is located at 2605 University Parkway, Sarasota.
National Girl Scout Cookie Weekend offers enterprising girls a chance to show off their cookie-selling skills by participating in booth, door-to-door, and digital sales throughout the country. One hundred percent of the net revenue girls raise through cookie sales funds the local Girl Scout council, troop programs, and community projects, so customers who purchase cookies are making an important investment in their community and supporting fun and formative leadership experiences for girls.
