Dutchess, A Wonderful Dog, Needs a Foster in Miami Dade Cnty
Miami Dade Animal Shelter is a very high kill "pound" with approximately 500 dogs. Dutchess needs a foster so that she can get out.
Dutchess, a sweet, both human and dog friendly girl of five years old, is the center of a cruelty case. She may not be rescued or adopted until the case is resolved. We have no idea how long that will take.
MDAS, or the Miami Dade Animal Shelter (a misnomer) is a hellish place. For Dutchess, who wants nothing more than to be loved, to play and to be safe, MDAS is a prison. The only hope for her to leave the shelter is if a local person is willing and able to foster her until the case is closed.
I realize that most readers do not live in Miami Dade County. But Dutchess has spent weeks at MDAS already and we need to network her far and wide. Perhaps you have a friend, a relative who is local to the Shelter. If you do, what could possibly be more rewarding than the knowledge that you helped a dog in need by bringing her to their attention. The Shelter has a website where you can obtain the number to call if you are interested in helping our girl. Please call, you won't regret it.
