Emerson Lakes Announces Construction of Pelican Cove, Fourth Residence Building
New continuing care retirement community coming to Lakewood Ranch further expands offerings to meet strong demand for vibrant living

Lakewood Ranch, FL – In response to unprecedented demand for vibrant, maintenance-free retirement living, Emerson Lakes, an Erickson Senior Living community coming to Lakewood Ranch, Fla., early next year, has announced the construction of its fourth residence building, Pelican Cove. The milestone reflects the extraordinary momentum behind the community’s launch and the strong interest from seniors seeking an engaging, resort-style lifestyle in Lakewood Ranch.
“Demand for Emerson Lakes is at an all-time high," said Adam Zubowsky, director of sales. "With our three residence buildings nearing full reservation, we’re thrilled to expand and to welcome even more people who want to enjoy our connected, active, and worry-free retirement lifestyle. Pelican Cove represents the next chapter in bringing this exceptional community to life."
Pelican Cove will bring 118 additional homes — including one-bedroom, one-and-a-half-bath, and two-bedroom, two-bath designs. Each home will offer underbuilding parking and convenient access to Emerson Lakes’ growing array of amenities, providing comfort, convenience, and connection.

Construction of Emerson Lakes has been underway since 2024, beginning with Sandhill Point, the community’s first residence building, set to open in early 2027. Additional buildings, Laguna Springs and Mangrove Run, are both scheduled to open later that year. Together, these initial residences will bring 315 homes to Emerson Lakes. With Pelican Cove scheduled to open in late 2028, the community continues to advance on a strong and ambitious development path.
Slated to open in 2027, the two-story, 50,000-square-foot Coral Ridge clubhouse will serve as the heart of the community. Designed to inspire engagement and wellness, it will feature game and card rooms, creative arts spaces, club meeting spaces, a modern fitness center leading to an outdoor meditation garden, a resort-style swimming pool with lap lanes, a zero-entry ramp, and spa tub.

Coral Ridge will also elevate the dining experience with two signature restaurant options: Water's Edge, cafe style dining on the lower level, and Breeze Point, an elevated, reservation-based restaurant with a bar and expanded seating on the second floor. Each restaurant will feature more than 25 rotating entree options, with executive chefs regularly updating menus to provide fresh, seasonal selections.
