Girl Scout Cookie booths open February 14
Cookies sales begin just in time for Valentine's Day

Sarasota, FL–If you’re a last-minute shopper, Girl Scouts from the Gulfcoast Council can help you select the perfect sweet treat for your Valentine.
Girl Scout Cookie booths will be open at various area locations beginning at 5:00 p.m. on February 14. Sales will run through March 15.
Cookie aficionados will notice that their favorite variety has a new look on the outside, with the same great taste inside. The refreshed cookie packaging features new images of current Girl Scouts taking part in a diverse range of experiences—including Cape Coral Girl Scout Olivia Trader. Trader was one of six national winners in Girl Scouts of the USA’s Cookie Pro contest and was selected for a spot on the package of her favorite cookie—Tagalongs®.

There’s also a new cookie variety debuting: Lemon-Ups™, a crispy lemon cookie baked with messages inspired by Girl Scout entrepreneurs. “I am a go-getter” and “I am an innovator” are among the eight phrases that bring the experience of Girl Scouting to life. The new cookie joins the national 2020 lineup, which also includes favorites such as Thin Mints®, Samoas® and Trefoils®.
The Girl Scout Cookie Program is the largest girl-led entrepreneurial program in the world. “Young cookie entrepreneurs learn important business and financial literacy skills that are proven to build their leadership skills and position them for success in the future,” says Mary Anne Servian, CEO of Girl Scouts of Gulfcoast Florida. “And, every dollar from the Girl Scout Cookie Program stays within the local council to support troop activities, community service projects, council programs and more.”
