Goodwill Manasota promotes operations team member

Rolf Halverson, an 18-year veteran of Goodwill, elevated to director of donated goods operations

Goodwill Manasota has promoted team member Rolf Halverson to the position of director of donated goods operations. In this role, he will oversee attended donation center operations, salvage, new goods, and purchasing for Goodwill Manasota.

Halverson began his Goodwill career in Portland, Ore. nearly 20 years ago. He worked first as a store manager and then, after 10 years, transitioned into a progressively expanding operations leadership position, a role he worked in for an additional five years.

In April of 2016, Halverson came to Sarasota on vacation and fell in love with the city. While visiting, he stopped by the Goodwill Manasota Corporate Campus for a tour and ended up meeting with the organization’s president and CEO, Bob Rosinsky. The tour turned into an impromptu interview and, shortly after, he was offered a job. As Halverson’s youngest child had just graduated from high school, he and his wife decided it was the perfect time to move to Florida for a change of pace. In his role as facilities services manager, he was responsible for overseeing the facilities management team and working closely with the property management department.

We look forward to his continued contributions to our organization in his new role.”
