What: Palmetto Fourth of July Festival

Where: Sutton Park, 1036 6th Street W., Palmetto

When: July 4, 5 to 9 p.m.

Neal McCoy headlines this year’s free Fourth of July Festival organized by the Palmetto Community Redevelopment Agency. Lazy Bonez opens at 5 p.m. with McCoy taking the stage at 7 p.m. Fireworks will follow the concert. Local food and beverage vendors will be available.


What: Independence Day Parade Processional

Where: Anna Maria Island, from Coquina Beach’s north entrance to City Pier Park in Anna Maria

When: July 4, 10 a.m.

This annual Fourth of July parade is presented by the Anna Maria Island Privateers. No walking is permitted, and all participants must be on some type of wheels.
