Man Dies In Easter Morning Crash In Myakka City: FL Highway Patrol
Man killed in a single-vehicle crash in Myakka City after hitting a traffic sign pole, wooden fences, dumpster, Florida Highway Patrol said.
MYAKKA CITY, FL — A 30-year-old man was killed in a single-vehicle crash in Myakka City Sunday morning, according to a Florida Highway Patrol news release.
As the Wauchula man’s car, heading east on State Road 64 west of Verna Bethany Road, approached a right curve, he lost control and drove off the road.
He hit a traffic sign pole on the westbound grass shoulder, as well as several wooden fences and a dumpster, before his car stopped at 25905 State Road 64, FHP said.

The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The crash remains under investigation, FHP said.
