Man Stole 1977 Porsche From Sarasota Classic Car Museum: Police
A Sarasota man faces charges related to the theft of a brown 1977 Porsche 930 Turbo from the Sarasota Classic Car Museum, police said.

SARASOTA, FL — A Sarasota man faces charges related to the theft of a brown 1977 Porsche 930 Turbo from the Sarasota Classic Car Museum, according to a Sarasota Police Department news release.
The car, worth around $250,000, was reported missing June 14 after the burglary alarm was activated.
Exterior surveillance video showed an unknown person entering the property during the alarm.

An anonymous caller later told investigators that Daniel Boyce, 36, was seen with the Porsche at an unknown warehouse, police said.
After following several leads, detectives found the stolen car with a fraudulently obtained title and tag.

The Manatee County Sheriff’s Office and the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office assisted Sarasota police with the investigation.
Boyce was arrested July 21 on a Sarasota County warrant for failing to appear in court for a grand theft auto charge. He’s being held without bond at the Sarasota County Jail.
He is a person of interest in the June 14 burglary of the museum and faces a felony charge of scheming to defraud over $50,000, police said.
