Marco Rubio Moved By Sarasota Girl's Drawing

The U.S. Senator is the last Floridian standing in the race for the Republican nomination for president.

SARASOTA, FL — If a Sarasota girl’s prayers are answered, January 2017 will signal a move into the White House for the Rubio family.

Six-year-old Camille even has an idea what moving day might look like. To prove it, she created a drawing of U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Florida, and his family standing outside of the White House.

“My Prayer for January 2017,” she titled the colorful work that includes a smiling cloud and a White House flanked by American flags.

It seems Camille’s work made it into Rubio’s hands. He posted the art on Twitter late Tuesday afternoon. Within minutes of the tweet going live, it had been shared nearly 150 times and favorited more than 500.

“Thank you to 6-year-old Camille, from Sarasota, Florida, for the artwork and more importantly, the prayers,” the tweet said.
