Miami Man Arrested Following Fight, Shooting At Lido Beach

A Miami man has been arrested following a shooting Sunday, April 22, on Lido Beach.

SARASOTA, FL – A Miami man has been arrested following a shooting Sunday, April 22, on Lido Beach.

Ransiel F. Pages-Cajuso, 27, of Miami, has been arrested and charged with multiple felonies following an altercation and shooting that occurred near the Lido Beach public parking lot.

Department to be interviewed and several others were transported to Sarasota Memorial Hospital for treatment and released. All of the injuries were due to the physical altercation, not the firing of the handgun.

Several witnesses told detectives they saw several people fighting. During the fight, Pages-Cajuso reportedly pointed a semi-automatic handgun at two people and fired several times. Neither were injured.

When officers arrived, Pages-Cajuso was placed into custody.

Pages-Cajuso has two felony convictions including driving with a suspended license with knowledge and possession of cocaine (Miami-Dade Police Department, 2010) and grand theft (Hialeah Police Department, 2009).

Based on its investigation, the Sarasota Police Department charged Pages-Cajuso with two counts of aggravated assault and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Pages-Cajuso is being held at the Sarasota County Jail on $7,500 bond for the possession of a firearm and no bond for the aggravated assault charges.
