New College Foundation Hosts Golf Tournament at The Concession

The New College Foundation raised more than $260,000 at its inaugural Golf Tournament on May 11 at The Concession Golf Club. Presented by Halfacre Construction Company, the event brought together business leaders, philanthropists, and community supporters for a day of purpose-driven play benefiting New College of Florida.

Proceeds from the tournament supported student scholarships, the expansion of intercollegiate athletics, and hands-on academic opportunities that prepare students for success beyond graduation.

Urban Meyer served as Honorary Chair, helping elevate the event’s visibility and underscore the growing momentum surrounding New College and its future.

The overall tournament winner was the Royal Tees team, comprised of Hunter Rieth, David Spreen, Mason Fox, and Kyle Trautwein.

Participants enjoyed a premier golf experience while networking with influential leaders from across the region and state. Sponsors gained visibility among a highly engaged audience aligned with one of Florida’s most distinctive public honors colleges.

Funds raised from the tournament directly benefited New College students. Support expanded access to scholarships, strengthened athletic programs, and enhanced experiential learning opportunities that define the New College experience.

The event reflected the College’s continued commitment to academic excellence, innovation, and community engagement.
