New Publix Store Opens Next Week

Publix is opening another store in Sarasota next week. On Nov. 10, at the intersection of Bay Street and S. Tamiami Trail, the 49,000 square-foot grocery store will open.

A news release said 130 people would be employed at the store. 

This is the . The Bee Ridge Publix opened Oct. 5. 

In addition to the traditional grocery, meat, produce, dairy and frozen food departments, the store will contain the following full-service departments: bakery, deli, fresh seafood, floral and pharmacy. 

“It is always exciting to open a new store and feel the enthusiasm it generates,” said Shannon Patten, manager of Media & Community Relations. “We look forward to serving our customers in this unique multi-level location.”

Store Hours:

• 7 days a week                       7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Pharmacy Hours:

• Monday through Friday      9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
• Saturday                          9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
• Sunday                            11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
