FL Lifeguard, 20, Accused Of Having Sex 13-Year-Old Girl, Sheriff Says

NORTH PORT, FL — A 20-year-old man was arrested early Monday morning for having sex with a 13-year-old girl, the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release.

Ian J. Inman, a lifeguard at the North Port Aquatic Center, was charged with two counts of sexual battery on a minor (12 to 18 years old).

Deputies saw a Toyota Scion illegally parked in the Manasota Key parking lot around 2:15 a.m., after posted hours.

They found Inman and the victim naked inside the car, the sheriff’s office said.

Investigators learned that he and the girl also had sex inside the car, according to investigators.

The investigation is ongoing. Anyone who thinks they may be a victim of Inman is asked to contact the SCSO Special Victims Unit at 941-861-4900.
