Joe Gruters cuts ribbon at Sarasota interchange in one of last acts as Senator (floridapolitics.com) — Drivers using the I-75 and Clark Road interchange in Sarasota will soon see thousands of new royal palms and flowering poincianas as part of a Florida DOT landscaping project championed by Sen. Joe Gruters. In one of his final acts as a legislator, Gruters joined local officials to celebrate the beautification of this key gateway into greater Sarasota, designed with both aesthetics and sustainability in mind.
   

2. Girl Scouts join Sarasota County beach cleanup, learning to protect environment (mysuncoast.com) — Volunteers, including about 40 Girl Scouts, just spent Saturday morning cleaning litter from Siesta Key Beach as part of the International Coastal Cleanup and Keep Sarasota County Beautiful's 22-site effort. The project teaches kids environmental responsibility while improving Sarasota County's beaches and waterways, and highlights ongoing programs like Adopt-A-Road that residents can join year-round.
   

3. Sarasota Jewish Theatre Announces 2026-27 Season With World Premiere and Broadway Star – WENG 98.1FM, 107.5 FM & 1530 AM (wengradio.com) — Sarasota Jewish Theatre just unveiled a new season running October 2026 through May 2027, highlighted by a hometown world premiere and a visit from Broadway performer Lauren Molina. Local theatergoers can choose from concerts and acclaimed plays, with single tickets starting at $36 and subscriptions available, all backed by support from the Community Foundation of Sarasota County and other area funders.
   

4.
