Pedestrian Fatality Investigated Following Crash: Police
A man was killed while crossing Tuttle Avenue at Wood Street early Sunday morning, police said.
SARASOTA, FL — Police are investigating a fatal crash that killed a pedestrian early Sunday morning, Sarasota Police Department said in a news release. The man was struck by a vehicle while crossing Tuttle Avenue near the intersection of Wood Street around 4 a.m.
Police noted that he wasn’t in the crosswalk when the crash happened. He was pronounced dead on the scene and his name is being withheld until his family has been notified.
The driver remained on the scene and cooperated with the investigation, police said.
